Tour: Hotel Icon

Last week, the hubby and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary.  As I mentioned here, we really try to contain ourselves with gift exchanges and instead celebrate by traveling somewhere.  In the 4 years we have been married, we have attempted to start a few traditions.  We are great at starting new traditions, but we are really bad in keeping them.  One we try to keep is to look through our wedding photos and video on our anniversary.  Such beautiful reminders of our love deserve to come out at least once a year.

This year we also went out for a nice dinner at Hotel Icon.  It was a slow night around and I got to take lots of pictures of the restaurant and the hotel.  The hotel is beautiful and full of history.  It was built in 1911 as the Union National Bank building.  The people there were really nice and allowed us to tour their 3-story penthouse suite.

I love the original safe door in the lobby.  Isn't it amazing?  How about this suite?  Asides from the lounge, the 3rd floor also has a large terrace overviewing downtown's skyline.  I bet it makes for a killer new year's eve party.

Happy monday!

Brenda
